In 2004 Marzuki Grinage teamed up with drummer Billy "Shoes" Johnson (Santana/Maze/Donny Hathaway,) bassist Rob Watson (James Brown/Joe Sample/Oleta Adams) and keyboardist/vocalist Simon Russell to form a band called SOUND OF SOULS. While the band did perform together and record a live promo CD (currently out of print,) the project is now on hiatus (Robert Watson is touring with James Brown.) God willing there will be a return of Sound Of Souls in the near future.
